The Organizing Committee of the VIII Moscow International Festival of Arts "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov has prepared a rich program dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi for the residents of the Russian Federation.
Among the planned events are the International Poetry Contest "Universe of Word", the Art Contest of Illustrations to Magtymguly's poems "Reflection", the Composer's Contest "Musical Works on Magtymguly Fragi's Poetry", and the Project Contest "Seeds of Wisdom: Lessons from Great Minds".
The celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher of the 18th century, Magtymguly Fragi, is included in the UNESCO List of Memorable Dates in 2024. Therefore, all the above-mentioned events aimed at popularizing the creative heritage of the classic of Turkmen literature will be held throughout the year.
The kaleidoscope of events will be concluded by the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Magtymguly and His Role in World Culture", as well as a grand gala concert featuring the monopera "Monologues of Magtymguly Fragi" by composer Mamed Guseynov.
Culture and art figures of the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan, theater and film artists, professors and teachers of theater universities are invited to participate in the events mentioned.
