The creative group of the «Turkmenfilm» Association is working on the full-length feature film «Kämillige ýol – Erjellik». The project is a sequel to a feature film created several years ago about the inspiring and motivating power of sports, which is intertwined with themes of friendship, love, and perseverance in achieving high goals.
The film presents various scenes from the life of two friends - Vepa and Atajan, who serve on the border. The main character Vepa falls in love with a girl, whose father sets him several difficult tasks, the solution of which must prove that the young man is worthy of his daughter’s hand and heart. These tasks are associated both with achievements in combat sambo and with success in the service, where it is important to be able to use modern information and communication technologies. Moreover, the girl’s father gives only 60 days to fulfill all his conditions.
What specific tasks were set for Vepa, and whether he coped with them in order to win the trust of the father of his beloved girl, viewers will find out after the film is released. Let us only add that the leading roles in the film are not professional actors, but experienced athletes Gaygysyz Atabayev and Orazmyrat Charyyev, who currently work as coaches at the 5th and 6th sports schools of the Ashgabat Department of Physical Culture and Sports. Filming is taking place in Ashgabat and the Balkan velayat and reflects the modern realities of life in Turkmenistan associated with digital transformation, the growing interest of young people in sports, including the martial arts of taekwondo (ITF) and combat sambo.
The director of the film, Batyr Batyrov, is also a co-author of the script, written together with Ogulnur Saparova, a third-year student at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly, studying at the Faculty of Turkmen Language and Literature, majoring in journalism.
