Esen Aydogdyev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation, familiarized himself with the program of the 8th Moscow International Festival of Arts "Sounds of Dutar" named after Nury Halmamedov, dedicated to the celebration of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi for the residents of the Russian Federation.

During his visit to the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts, the venue of the Moscow International Festival, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan engaged in discussions with its art director, composer Mamed Guseynov.

The esteemed guest was presented with works by Zurab Tsereteli, the President of the Russian Academy of Arts, People's Artist of the USSR and Russian Federation, and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, as well as the concert venues of the "Sounds of Dutar" festival.

As Mamed Guseynov reported, a kaleidoscope of events dedicated to celebration of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly will commence in Moscow on April 7, 2024, at the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts. There will be held the first grand concert featuring cultural and artistic figures of the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan.

Anticipated events include the the International Poetry Contest "Universe of Word", the Art Contest of Illustrations to Magtymguly's poems "Reflection", the Composer's Contest "Musical Works on Magtymguly Fragi's Poetry", and the Project Contest "Seeds of Wisdom: Lessons from Great Minds".

Throughout 2024, under the slogan "The Fount of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi," Turkmenistan will host large-scale events at the national and international levels in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet, philosopher and thinker of the East, Magtymguly Fragi.
