On the eve of the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly, various events are being held in Turkmenistan that reveal the artistic, humanistic, moral value of the creative heritage of the classic poet and his special role in educating the country’s younger generation.
Recently, the State Children's Library named after Bazar Amanov, together with the Museum of Fine Arts of Turkmenistan, organized a traveling exhibition «Magtymguly Pyragy – türkmen halkynyň milli we edebi mirasynda» at the Trade and Cooperative School of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, dedicated to the fundamental significance of Magtymguly creativity in the national heritage of the Turkmen people.
The poetry collections of Magtymguly and paintings embodying the artistic image of the poet presented at the exhibition will allow young people to learn more about the life and work of the great master of words and philosopher of the East Magtymguly Fragi, about his influence on the literature and art of not only Turkmen, but also other peoples. At the opening of the exhibition, it was said about the numerous celebrations held in different parts of the country in honor of the 300th anniversary of the great son of the Turkmen people, about the inspiring message of this year’s motto «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi».
Library staff spoke about the works of Magtymguly, which instill in young people such qualities as patriotism, courage, honesty and justice.
