On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and Turkmenistan, on the initiative of the Italian Embassy in Turkmenistan, Roberta Di Mario, who composes and performs music, was invited to our country. Aylar Saparmuradova took part together with her in the concert, held on the stage of the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater. Both of them performed their compositions, as well as works of classics, for the Ashgabat public.
Roberta Di Mario opened the concert program with her composition “Disarm” and a journey around the world of music together with Bach, Mozart, Chopin. The composition “Disarm” is distinguished by its calm melody, measuredness and lightness.
It is noteworthy that the journey around the world of music in the concert program completed with the work by Fryderyk Chopin “Fantasy-Improvisation”. Di Mario performed this work against the backdrop of the Universe on the screen, represented by a scattering of moving planets that resembled specks of dust caught in the light of a ray of sunlight. In Chopin’s improvisation, one could hear the eternity and infinity of the worlds that make up the Universe.
Aylar Saparmuradova is at the piano keys. And already from the first chords of “Nocturne-Cosmos” one could discern the similarity of styles of musical expression with the Italian composer Di Mario. Among the classical works performed by Aylar, Paganini-Liszt’s “Campanella” was especially memorable.
Aylar, like Roberta, began playing music at the age of five. It is noteworthy that her teachers prepared her to enter a music school to study violin, but fate decreed otherwise – she became a pianist. Aylar began writing her first compositions during her student years.
At the end of the concert, Roberta and Aylar prepared a surprise for the audience – they performed the Slavic Dvorak Dance in four hands. The playfulness of the dance melody, which was performed with enthusiasm from the stage by Turkmen-Italian virtuoso pianistes, was remembered by the audience and set a good mood.
The Ambassador of Italy to Turkmenistan Luigi Ferrari, to the thunderous applause of the audience, presented Roberta and Aylar huge bouquets of flowers, thanking them for the aesthetic pleasure that they granted the public with their talent and skill.
