The creative team of the Seyitnazar Seydi State Music and Drama Theater of Lebap velayat is working on a new play titled "Magtymguly düşdüň yşkyň güzerne" on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi, the great thinker of the East, as well as the proclamation of 2024 under the slogan "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi".
The play is being staged by the director of theater Perhat Khudayberenov. Currently, the theater stage is being prepared with the participation of experienced and talented young actors.
The play tells the story of Magtymguly Fragi's adolescence. People's Artists of Turkmenistan Babageldi Rejepov and Akjagul Sukhanova play the roles of Magtymguly's father, Azadi, and his mother, Orazgul. The talented actress Umida Khamraeva plays the role of Magtymguly's beloved Menli, while the roles of Azadi's friend Selim Magtym and his wife Ogulsheker are played by experienced theater artists Chary Dolyev and Jemal Arazmukhamedova.
In addition to them, the play features actors Ayna Rozyeva, Nuryagdy Doveltov and Remezan Allaberdiyev, who bring the subtle magic of stage artistry to the roles of Menli's mother, Shaniyaz-khan, Azadi's son, and Magtymguly's brother, Muhammad Sap. Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan Myrat Khaytiyev is responsible for the stage design of the play, while Ruslan Khemraev handles the musical arrangement.
