These days, various cultural events dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi are taking place in all parts of the country, including Balkan velayat.

One of such events was held at the State Drama Theater of Balkanabat city, Balkan velayat. Creative collectives of puppet theaters participated in the competition organized by the Velayat Culture Department in collaboration with the Velayat Association of Trade Unions. The character of Magtymguly Fragi had a special place in the stage performances.

As a result of the competition, the first place was taken by the folk theater of the Culture Department of Bereket etrap. The theaters of Magtymguly etrap and Khazar settlement took the second and third places respectively. Theaters of the Culture Departments of Magtymguly etrap and Turkmenbashi city became winners in the competition among puppet theaters.
