On April 18, the conference hall of the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management hosted an event titled "Berkarar döwletiň täze eýýamynyň Galkynyşy döwri: akyldar şahyryň arzuwlan zamanasy", organized in collaboration with the Central Bank of the country.
Students, teachers and numerous guests of the educational institution attended the exhibition of Magtymguly Fragi’s book, which took place in the foyer of the university, as well as the music concert dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker of the East.
Representatives of the Central Bank and newspaper editorial offices addressed the participants of the event with welcoming speeches. As the speakers noted, the poetry of Magtymguly is not only a national treasure of Turkmenistan, but is also part of the treasury of world culture.
The current year, held in our country under the slogan "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi", has been declared by the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) as the "Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World - Magtymguly Fragi". Currently, various competitions, exhibitions, creative meetings, conferences and other cultural projects dedicated to the legacy of the Turkmen literary classic are being held nationwide.
The concert program was opened by the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Tirkesh Matnazarov, who performed the songs "Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy" and "Monça bol". The concert continued with musical compositions based on the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi and famous works by Turkmen composers.
The poetry and philosophy of Magtymguly have always been of great importance for the younger generation and youth of our country. The works of this outstanding poet deeply embody spiritual and moral values such as humanism, peace, brotherhood and love for the homeland. These are key principles in forming the correct perception of the world and personal development.
The event organized at the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management was another memorable occasion leading up to the grand celebrations commemorating the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.
