On April 23, 2024, a conference dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi was held in the building of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation (Astrakhan). About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

The conference was attended by members of the delegation of the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan, the Minister of education of the Astrakhan Region, the Deputy Minister of regional communications of the Astrakhan Region, the Chairman of the council of the Astrakhan Regional public organization for the preservation and development of Turkmen Culture “Turkmenistan” and Turkmen students studying in the Astrakhan Region.

During the meeting, it was noted that the work of Magtymguly Fragi had a significant impact not only on the culture of Turkmenistan, but also on the countries of the region. The speakers also emphasized that the collections of manuscripts of the Turkmen philosopher and poet Magtymguly Fragi are included in the International Memory of the World List, and his 300th anniversary is included in the UNESCO list of memorable dates.
