On April 25-26, 2024, cultural events were held in Turkmenistan to mark the 100th anniversary of the birth of the People's Artist of Turkmenistan Aykhan Hajiyev.
As part of these events, on April 26, the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan hosted a creative meeting of teachers and students of the university with Akmal Nuridinov, Chairman of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan, People's Artist of Uzbekistan; Professor of Art History Zhanarbek Beristenov, lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University; Yuristanbek Shygaev, Professor at I. Arabaev Kyrgyz State University, People's Artist of Kyrgyzstan; Nargisa Khamidova, Chairman of the Union of Artists of Tajikistan.
The artists from friendly countries got acquainted with the museum of the academy's golden fund and workshops, where they could appreciate the talent and skill of young painters.
In their speeches, each of the guests talked about the trends in fine arts, art history and the opportunities for training young artists in their countries. After visiting our country, the guests shared a good impression of the architectural appearance of the city of Ashgabat. But most importantly, after getting acquainted with the study conditions at the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan, they emphasized the great opportunities provided for the creative youth of our country.
Cultural interrelations of the Central Asian countries have served as the basis for fine and decorative-applied arts since ancient times. At the creative meeting, guests from friendly countries wished success to the creative youth and strengthening of interconnections in modern art.
