The graduates and students of the Danatar Ovezov State Special Music School at the M. Kuliyeva Turkmen National Conservatory are accustomed to celebrating significant dates on a grand scale and on a big stage.

To mark the 95th anniversary of the capital's incubator of musical talents, a report concert of students of all departments of the educational institution was held on the stage of the Magtymguly National Music and Drama Theater.

The Danatar Ovezov Music School (formerly the Turkmen State Music College), opened in 1929, has produced many qualified personnel. Former graduates successfully continue the work of their mentors, working in cities and regional cultural centers, teaching music at their alma mater, and training new virtuosos of musical instruments.

"I started my professional path at this educational institution", says Danatar Khydyrov, People's Artist, senior lecturer at the Conservatory, composer. "Under the guidance of Valentin Ivanovich Mitkalev, I mastered piano playing and studied music theory. Many years have passed, but wherever I work, I always combine my activities with mentoring within the walls of my native school".

On the occasion of the anniversary year, school specialists Merdangeldi Kerimov, Sakhra Bayryeva and Myahriban Jumaeva prepared the book "Türkmen saz biliminiň binýady " for publication.

Under the cover of the illustrated edition, facts from the history of the creation of the music school are collected, and the biography of the Turkmen composer and conductor Danatar Ovezov is presented. The book also contains chapters on the activities of the choir, "Şirwan" orchestra of Turkmen folk instruments, pop and symphony orchestras.

Today, the Danatar Ovezov Special Music School studies vocal art, choral conducting, music pedagogy, the art of Bakhshi, and other music-theoretical disciplines. Therefore, the program of the report concert is compiled so that young musicians could fully showcase their talents and demonstrate what they have learned over the years of study.

The current year, celebrated under the motto "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi" and the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and thinker of the East, inspired students to perform musical works written on the poems of Magtymguly Fragi. In addition, famous compositions by Turkmen and European composers were performed on stage.
