A unique competition called «I have clothes, jewellery, I spend my time happily», organized by the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan together with the Central Council of the Women's Union of Turkmenistan and the Secretariat of the National Committee of Turkmenistan of the UN on Education, Science and Culture, was held in the regional history museum of Balkanabat.

The competition was held as part of the events in honour of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi. Its goal was to disseminate the national cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, artistic traditions that are an integral part of our ancient and modern fine art.

At the competition, jewellers from the etraps demonstrated their products. They competed in making necklaces, bowls, rings, based on prepared samples and demonstrated national jewellery at an exhibition organized in the museum.

Rahmanberdi Hojayev, a teacher at the Balkanabat Children's Art School, and Azatgul Atagulyyeva from the Gyzylarbat etrap were eventually declared winners and received the right to participate in the final stage of the competition, already at the republican level.
