The new play, staged on the occasion of the great poet's anniversary, narrates the youthful years of Magtymguly. The play's script was written by the theater's director Perkhat Hudayberenov, based on the novel "Magtymguly" by Nobatguly Rejepov, People's Writer of Turkmenistan. The new stage production depicts Magtymguly Fragi's youthful years, his entry into the path of poetry, and events related to his passionate love for a girl named Mengli. The role of Magtymguly's father, Azadi, was performed by one of the experienced actors of the theater, Chary Rakhmankulov, while the role of his mother, Orazgul, was played by Akjagul Sukhanova, People's Artist of Turkmenistan.
The talented actress Umida Hamraeva was able to convey to the audience the image of Magtymguly's beloved, Mengli, with all its contradictions. The stage characters of Azadi's friend Selim Magtym and his wife Ogulsheker were created by the experienced actors Chary Dolyev and Jemal Arazmukhammedova.
It is also necessary to mention Ayna Rozyeva, Nuryagdy Doveletov and Remezan Allaberdiyev, who captured the subtle magic of stage mastery, creating the images of Mengli's mother, Shaniyaz-khan, Azadi's son and Magtymguly's brother Mukhammetsap.
The Honored Art Worker of Turkmenistan, the talented artist Myrat Hayti, and Ruslan Hemraev worked diligently to create the image of the time when the great poet lived.
Overall, the new play is a worthy gift from the creative team of the Seyitnazar Seydi State Music and Drama Theater to the year "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi" and the 300th anniversary of the great poet's birth.
