The city of Arkadag will host the Culture Week-2024 from June 22 to 27.

This year’s event is timed to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi, as well as the first anniversary of the city of Arkadag.

Built on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the "smart" city of Arkadag, which received a unique status at the legislative level – a city of national importance, began its history on June 29, 2023.

During this time, the modern city has been visited by many foreign guests who appreciated the implemented information technologies and urban infrastructure. Large-scale cultural events were held here, including the Vienna Ball and the International Arkadag Dawn Film Festival.

Continuing its chronicle, in the coming days, the city of Arkadag will become the center for holding mass cultural and educational events.

Among the events of the Culture Week-2024, it is expected to show the feature film "Kompozitor," the premiere of the play "Älem nury" prepared on the stage of the Aman Gulmamedov State Drama Theater and much more.

The Gorogly State Equestrian Circus will delight with a theatrical circus performance "Göroglynyň döreýşi."

As part of the Culture Week, poetry evenings will be organized, and the winners of the competition announced in honor of the motto of this year, "Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi," will be awarded.

Additionally, exhibitions and creative meetings will be held at the Museum of History and Local Lore of the city of Arkadag and the Dovletmammet Azadi Library.

On June 27, on the occasion of the celebration of the Day of Culture and Art Workers, as well as the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi, a flower-laying ceremony will take place at the poet's monument in the new cultural and park complex "Magtymguly Pyragy."

Holding the Culture Week in our country is an annual and most anticipated event. Masters of arts and cultural figures from all over Turkmenistan demonstrate their creative achievements and successes. Last year, Ashgabat hosted the cultural marathon relay.
