Today, the series of events of the Culture Week continued at the Library named after Dovletmammet Azady in the city of Arkadag, where the conference «Priority directions for modernizing and improving the scientific and methodological activities of libraries» and an exhibition of publishing products were held.

The forum was attended by cultural workers, representatives of the creative intelligentsia, museum and library specialists, poets and prose writers, teachers and students, as well as journalists.

Over its many thousand years of glorious history, the Turkmen people have made a huge contribution to world culture. Today, enhancing this heritage with new achievements, Turkmenistan is doing a lot of work to study, develop and popularize the spiritual heritage of the nation. This is clearly demonstrated by the exhibition of publishing products in the library foyer.

The exhibition presents scientific literature and popular publications about the life and creative path of the great poet Magtymguly Fragi. Visible evidence of the enormous respect for the master of artistic expression and veneration throughout the world for his literary heritage, the significance of which goes far beyond national borders, were his immortal works translated into foreign languages. A place of honour at the exhibition was given to the works of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Then the celebration continued in the conference hall of the Library named after Dovletmammet Azady, where a conference was held in a hybrid format with the participation of both domestic and foreign library specialists from Russia, the Republic of Belarus, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Romania.

The speakers noted that the rapid growth of the printing industry of Turkmenistan, which has enormous potential, became possible thanks to the state policy implemented under the leadership of the President of the country, in which an important place is occupied by solving the problems of the spiritual and cultural development of the Fatherland, the formation of a highly educated Turkmen society open to the world.

As emphasized, the current event once again confirms the desire of all participants in the cultural dialogue for active interaction, establishing closer ties for the exchange of cultural and educational values.

It should be noted that a unified library electronic network has been created in Turkmenistan on the basis of advanced technologies and world practice. At the same time, regularly organized methodological courses, seminars, and competitions enable employees of specialized institutions to increase their level of knowledge in the field of using digital technologies.

Particular attention at the conference was paid to the innovative and project development of book depositories, the popularization of electronic publications, and the possibilities of long-term storage of electronic information, ancient documents and books.

The forum participants expressed sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for creating all the conditions for the prosperity of national culture, scientific study of its origins and development, international humanitarian dialogue, and for the great attention paid to librarianship at the state level.

Then, at the National Music and Drama Theatre named after Magtymguly, the winners of the competition «Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy», announced among creative youth as part of the competition for the President of Turkmenistan «Türkmeniň Altyn asyry» award, were awarded.

The purpose of the event is further study, widespread propaganda and popularization of the literary heritage of the greatest poet and philosopher of the East Magtymguly Fragi, expanding the understanding of the younger generation of the enormous significance of the outstanding personality of the poet, his invaluable works filled with the deepest meaning, wise thoughts and lofty ideas.

In his welcoming Address to the winners of the «Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy» competition, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, congratulating the laureates on their victory, emphasized that the grandiose reforms initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, have transformed our independent neutral Motherland beyond recognition.

«We attach great importance to the creation by creative figures of the country of modern and perfect works dedicated to Magtymguly». The poem by the National Leader of the Turkmen people «The Fount of the Wisdom Magtymguly Fragi» inspired our poets and prose writers, singers, stage masters, and artists to new achievements. Based on the valuable views contained in this wonderful work of Hero-Arkadag, as well as in order to encourage young people engaged in creativity and tribute to the wise poet, the competition «Pähim-paýhas ummany Magtymguly Pyragy» was announced, the head of state said in his message.

Honouring creative youth has become not only a high state assessment and recognition of their talent, but also eloquent evidence of the enormous attention given in our country to the development of national culture and art, attracting them to active creative activity.

The laureates of the intellectual competition addressed President Serdar Berdimuhamedov with words of sincere gratitude for the full care he has shown for the young generation, assuring that with their tireless, selfless work they will serve to increase the authority and glory of their native Fatherland.

At the end of the ceremony, its participants accepted an Address of gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan.

The solemn event ended with performances by the country's art masters. The concert program included works glorifying enduring moral values, the rapid development of the Fatherland under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state. Young artists also performed songs based on Magtymguly’s poems in foreign languages.

In the evening, at the State Drama Theatre named after Aman Gulmammedov, a creative meeting dedicated to cinematography and a screening of the feature film «Kompozitor» were held.

It is gratifying that Turkmen cinema has a glorious history, and the current generation of filmmakers, developing the best traditions of this art, strives to fully utilize its great potential for the spiritual development of the people, the patriotic and moral education of youth. The state creates all the necessary conditions for the creation of new artistic, chronicle-documentary and animated works.

The film of the «Türkmenfilm» Association named after Oguzhan «Kompozitor» was created with the direct support of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Culture Week in the city of Arkadag continues.
