From September 11 to 14, 2024, St. Petersburg will host the tenth-anniversary International United Cultures Forum, which will bring together representatives of various cultures and nationalities to discuss new trends and current issues in the development of the modern cultural environment.

A Turkmenistan delegation, led by Deputy Minister of Culture Nursakhet Shirimov, will attend the forum. The delegation also includes Sakhysalyk Bayramov, Deputy Chairman of the Oguzhan Turkmenfilm Association, and two educators from the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Mai Kuliyeva.

Over three days, government leaders from different countries, leading experts and world-renowned cultural figures will conduct multilateral discussions on the prospects of international cultural cooperation. The main theme of the forum is "Culture of the XXI Century: Sovereignty or Globalism?" Its business program includes ten thematic areas: "How Art Helps Peoples Defend the Right to History," "Artificial Intelligence in Culture and National Sovereignty," "Cultural Heritage: Traditions and Modernity," "Business Culture," "Media Culture," "Cinema," "Theater," "Musical Culture," "Circus" and "Museums."

The business program will feature panel discussions and round tables on cultural policy and the development of international cooperation. Guests and participants will have the opportunity to visit new exhibitions, theater premieres and concerts by renowned performers.

Educators from the Turkmen National Conservatory will present Turkmen musical and vocal arts at the St. Petersburg International United Cultures Forum. Filmmaker S. Bayramov is included as a speaker in the "Cinema" thematic session, where he will discuss various formats of cooperation with filmmakers from the CIS, including a joint Turkmen-Uzbek project to create a feature film about the life and work of the outstanding classical poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
