The works of the winners and laureates of the competitions of composers «Musical Works on the Poems of Magtymguly Fragi» and illustrations «Reflection», held within the framework of the VIII Moscow International Arts Festival «Sounds of Dutar» named after Nury Halmamedov and dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet, were included in the «Musical and Illustrative Collection» published in Moscow.

Collected together, musical and artistic works inspired by the poetry of Magtymguly Fragi allow you to immerse yourself in the world of his spiritual heritage. Of particular value to the collection are the works of honored artists - members of the jury of the competitions, reflecting the quality standard of the festival «Sounds of Dutar». The collection is intended for teachers and students of higher and secondary educational institutions studying in the humanities and music specialties, teachers and senior students of comprehensive schools, as well as for everyone interested in this topic. Its publication in Russian and Turkmen languages ensures accessibility for a wide range of readers, which also contributes to deep mutual understanding and spiritual exchange between the two cultures.

The Oriental Poetry Illustration Competition «Reflection», dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi's birth, was held under the auspices of the Russian Academy of Arts and involved a wide range of amateurs and professionals of all ages. In his welcoming speech, which opens this collection, the President of the Russian Academy of Arts Zurab Tsereteli highly appreciated the significance of the event. The works submitted to the art competition are dedicated to the work of Magtymguly Fragi and Russian authors inspired by the uniqueness of the Eastern worldview. The artists demonstrated their mastery in two visual forms - painting and graphics. Each work became a reflection of not only professionalism, but also a deep spiritual connection between cultures, continuing the continuous creative dialogue between the East and the West. The competition of composers «Musical works based on the poems of Magtymguly Fragi» was aimed at introducing the great heritage of world culture, popularizing the work of modern composers, presented in various musical directions and genres, enriching the modern performing repertoire and drawing attention to the legacy of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher of the 18th century - Magtymguly Fragi.

The jury of the creative competition included famous composers, musicologists and vocal teachers from Russia and Turkmenistan. Their high assessment of the submitted works allowed to create a truly unique musical and illustrative publication worthy of the great poet and philosopher of the East. The awarding of the winners of the composer competition will take place on the 28th of October as part of the international scientific and practical conference «Magtymguly and his role in world culture», dedicated to the 300th  anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi. The event will be held in the music department of the Russian State Library, located in one of the most beautiful buildings in Moscow - Pashkov House. The artists' work will be celebrated on the 3rd of November at the gala concert of the VIII festival «Sounds of Dutar» in the Museum and Exhibition Complex of the Russian Academy of Arts.
