In Mogilev, Republic of Belarus, from 7th to 21st October, the XXVIII International Plein Air on Painting «The Image of the Motherland in Fine Arts» was held, in which 15 artists from 6 countries took part.
Our country was represented at this event by Merdan Nurmedov, a teacher of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan. The purpose of the plein air is to strengthen creative and cultural ties with the Unions of Artists of the world, as well as the development and promotion of Belarusian art in the world space. The main focus of the plein air is to reveal the image of the Motherland through the artist's skill.
In 2024, the plein air is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 110th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Belarus P.V. Maslenikov. Creative meetings, master classes and workshops are held within the framework of the plein air. The final exhibition of the XXVIII international plein air painting «The Image of the Motherland in Fine Arts» opened in the Mogilev Regional Art Museum named after P.V. Maslenikov.
It presents the works of all participants of the two-week creative event. The paintings reflect impressions of the nature, culture, architecture and history of the Mogilev region, presented by artists from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
