Composer, musicologist and journalist Aina Shirova took second place at the international competition "There’s only music", organized in honor of the famous musician Dmitry Simonov.
This competition among writers and journalists working in the musical field is held for the third time. This year, 173 contestants from 15 countries took part at the competition (Russia, Australia, Belarus, Germany, Egypt, Israel, India, Kazakhstan, Canada, Lithuania, USA, Turkmenistan, France, Switzerland, Sweden). It’s pleasant that the jury awarded the representative from Turkmenistan in nomination "Music box" with the second place. This nomination includes nonfiction and journalism.
Aina Shirova started journalism in 2001, during this time, in various paper and electronic publications, she published more than 300 articles on topics related to various types of arts. Aina graduated from the University of Strasbourg (France) with a master's degree in musicology, now she is a doctoral candidate in musicology at this university.
