The Main Academic Drama Theater of Turkmenistan is preparing to show a comedy musical performance based on the play "Çynymy aýtsam..." ("If I tell the truth...") by Uzbek playwright Jahangir Seyidov for the country's Neutrality Day. ("If I tell the truth...").

The comedy is based on a fairy tale about how once the main character Murad-aga saw in a dream his late mother with tea, after drinking which a person began to tell the truth. This was just the way, since Murad-aga's daughter was marriageable, and grooms constantly came to their house to propose. The elixir of truth helped to find out what was on the mind and what was behind the soul of the applicants.

The director of photography Ruslan Berdiev and the actors had the task not only to present the content of a modern fairy tale in an interesting way, but also to reliably show the mentality of the Uzbek people. Costume designer Guljemal Saparova and choreographer Taisiya Alieva provided great help in this. A bright national women's costume and incendiary Uzbek dances became the decoration of the performance.

The main character of the play Murad aga was played by actor Ashir Mammadov, his wife Bossan – Gurbangozel Akmuradova, their daughter Nazik – Jahan Bairamdurdieva. The role of Durdi, one of Nazik's suitors, performed by actor Orazberdi Cholukov sticks out in mind. During the holidays, the audience of the Main Academic Drama Theater of Turkmenistan will get great pleasure from the musical comedy "If I tell the truth ...".
