A good gift for International Women's Day was prepared by the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, initiating a concert by Albert Zhalilov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan. The concert was held to a full house on the stage of the Makhtumkuli National Music and Drama Theater, accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan conducted by the Honored Artist of Turkmenistan Rasul Klichev.

The Russian singer opened the concert with a number - "Orlovsky's Toast" from the operetta "The Bat" by Johann Strauss. The velvety baritone voice with a wide range of shades immediately charmed the listeners. A medley of classical romances based on the poems of Alexander Pushkin, pop hits of previous years and foreign hits, which spoke about love for women, were performed from the stage. Albert Zhalilov dedicated works of the serenade genre to the audience on the balcony.

Pop singer Maisa Niyazova was lucky enough to perform the song "Dove" by Sebastian de Iradier in a duet with Albert Zhalilov. So many feelings and emotions were put into this piece by the performers that the song actually sounded like a confession of love. The concert program included the Turkmen songs "Charming Eyes" by Andrei Babayev and "My Ashgabat" by Rejep Gutliyev, as well as the Tatar folk song "Nightingale". The audience greeted the guest from Russia with friendly applause, and the audience performed the song "Katarina" together with the singer. Due to Albert Zhalilov's charm and talent, the evening was successfull.

From an interview with Albert Zhalilov after the concert:

– This is my first time in Ashgabat, and so far I have only seen your city from the car window. But despite the rain, he still made a great impression on me with his cleanness and grooming. But I will definitely get acquainted with its sights. I spent my first day in your capital at the Makhtumkuli National Music and Drama Theater with the musicians of the State Symphony Orchestra. We had one rehearsal and two concerts. Only great professionals can work like this, and I admire the musicians of your orchestra.

I was born in Astrakhan, so there is a common Caspian sea between me and you. Now I live and work 50 to 50 in Moscow and St. Petersburg. In March of this year, the festival of Albert Zhalilov, which will be broadcast on television, will be held. After meeting your beautiful audience, I think I will add fans. I am very pleased with my trip. Taking this opportunity, once again I congratulate all the women of Turkmenistan with the holiday of spring - March 8.
