On the eve of the country's main holiday – Independence Day – an exhibition of works by Turkmen artists was opened at the State Museum of Fine Arts. Notably, students of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan actively participated in the exhibition.

They presented their new paintings created in a poster style, which most vividly reflects the political meaning embedded in them. But the most valuable aspect is that, through the students' works, one can see the country’s independence through the eyes of the young generation of Turkmenistan.

An original painting titled "Arkadag – City of Prosperity" was prepared by Sulgun Gurbandurdyyeva. The canvas depicts two hemispheres of different sizes, resembling the Earth, warmed by the sun from the East. At the center of one hemisphere is the ornament of the Turkmen takhya, and on the other – a sample of national embroidery. The hemispheres are framed by wheat ears and stylized Turkmen gyols.

"Peaceful Homeland" is the title of the painting by Byagul Gibaeva. The artist depicted the Turkmen capital from a bird's-eye view. It gives the impression that the author is soaring in the sky along with pigeons, an airplane, and golden-pink clouds, with below a beautiful modern city, which Byagul considers her peaceful homeland.

Kyade Taganova, recalling that this year’s motto is the International Year of Peace and Trust, emphasized the state flags of Turkmenistan and other countries proudly flying in the peaceful sky in her work "Peaceful Country – Friendly Nation". The painting simultaneously highlights the worthy place our country occupies on the world stage.

Among the works taken from the reserves, the painting by Niyazmyrat Dovodov best fits the modern style of the young exhibition participants. The neat green fields, varying in shades, the elegant stripe of a passing train, the range of the Kopetdag mountains – all this pleases the eye and is proudly called "My Homeland."

Wonderful small sculptures complemented the festive mood of the exhibition with their themes. The author of three of them – "Melody," "Dance," "Kushtdepdi" – is sculptor Juma Jumadurdy. The beautiful work "Dance of the Jigit" by Alexey Schetinin found its place in the exposition. The multi-figure sculptural composition "Labor Victories" radiates indomitable joy.

The exhibition of works by Turkmen artists inspires patriotic pride in the successes achieved by our country during the years of independence.
