“Mir 24” TV channel covers the history and culture of Turkmenistan
The Interstate TV and Radio Company ITRC “Mir” celebrates 29 years from the date of creation of the media holding.
On the occasion of the outstanding event the chairman of ITRC “MIR” Radik Batyrshin gave interview, having noted the interesting projects realized in the branches of the TV and Radio Company in 2021. Among them is a cycle of programs “Legends of the Central Asia”, one of which, for the first time this year, was dedicated to Turkmenistan.
The program “Seljuks – the heritage of the medieval empire” was about the archeological masterpieces of the ancient Parthia of the medieval dynasty of Seljuks. The richest successor of the ancient civilizations, Turkmenistan up to the present day preserves the unique monuments of archeology inseparably associated with the history of our state.
– The ancient Merv, which situated in today’s Mary velayat, is one of the most ancient cities of the Central Asia. If earlier four centers were known as the most ancient centers of civilization: Mesopotamia, Egypt, India and China, now the fifth such center is recognized Margiana. It is one of the largest by area archeological objects of the Central Asia, – commented the chief science officer of the Institute of History and Archeology of the Academy of Science of Turkmenistan Kakajan Bayramov.
Together with the Karakhanids and Ghaznavids, the Seljuk empire left a great mark in history of Turkmenistan.
The founder of the Seljuk dynasty was a legendary medieval fighter from the Oghuz tribe Seljuk. According to the chief science officer of the Institute of History and Archeology of the Academy of Science of Turkmenistan Juma Orazgylyjov, the Great Seljuk empire in XI-XII centuries was the most powerful state formation in the world. Today within its territory, 25 sovereign states locate on the map of the world.
The TV program dedicated to the Seljukids talked about the bravery Seljuk fighters who succeeded in conquest of the majority of the territory of East and building of the prosper and powerful state.
Extending the geography of the cyclic projects ITRC “Mir” aimed to attract the numerous audiences. Today the TV and Radio company broadcasts more than in 14 countries.
In autumn 2020 the ITRC “Mir” and MFA of Turkmenistan signed cooperation agreement in information policy, and beginning from December of that year “MIR 24” channel began broadcast in the network of the Turkmen operator «Ashgabat city telephone network» (ACTN). The reports from Turkmenistan appear in the newscasts of TV channel in regular basis.
