Turkmenistan actively supports the dialogue on Afghanistan
A meeting of the Special Representatives of the region’s countries on Afghanistan took place in the format of a videoconference. The subject matter of the session was the situation in the neighboring country. The session was also attended by the Special Representatives on Afghanistan of Iran, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The Turkmen delegation at the meeting was represented by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev.

The silk rainbow of keteni
This year, 2,100 tons of silkworm cocoons were produced in Turkmenistan - a valuable raw material for one of the leading branches of the domestic agricultural industry, which has a long history and traditions. Since ancient times, Turkmens were engaged in silkworm breeding and made clothes from silk, decorated them with silk embroidery. Clothes made of natural silk, which are warm in winter and cool in summer, were highly valued. Silk threads were also used in carpet weaving in the manufacture of especially delicate and elegant products. Silk imparted colorful tints to ancient carpet designs, transforming carpets into magnificent examples of high art.

Flora of the Great Balkhan
The Great Balkhan is a mountain range where ancient relict species have found refuge, which have a narrow distribution area. Here you can find moisture-loving plants, huge trees-old-timers. Only endemic plants, that is, growing entirely on the Great Balkhans, there are up to twenty species. These are dorema, astragalus, hare-tooth, and a dozen and a half unique representatives of the flora kingdom. On a relatively small mountain formation, you can find ferns, conifers and wormwood. Representatives of medicinal, food and ornamental plant groups meet here. As a result of numerous expeditions, the places of their growth, distribution, and resource potential have been studied.

Turkmenistan - EBRD: Cooperation in the Transition to a Market Economy

President of Turkmenistan approves the Regulations on training and retraining of drivers
In order to satisfy the growing demand in the country for road transport services, to further improve the training and retraining of vehicle drivers in accordance with international requirements, which is one of the main directions of state policy on road safety, as well as in accordance with the Laws of Turkmenistan "On Road Transport" and "On road safety", the President of Turkmenistan signed the Resolution approving the Regulation on the training and retraining of vehicle drivers.
