The next ethno-confessional festival “Mosaic of cultures” took part in the Republic of Tatarstan. The event organizers are the Tatarstan Assembly and House of Friendship of people, Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, and the Mayor’s office of Kazan city invited to participate in the ceremonial event the dance ensemble “Dostluk”, organized from Turkmen students studying in the capital of Tatarstan. The final of the creativity competition «Bagtyýarlyk döwrümiziň çeper keşbi» organized by the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Central Board of Youth Organization named after Magtymguly took place in the Museum of Fine Art of Turkmenistan. The traveler is a discoverer. And it doesn't matter at all that before he entered the previously unknown territory, it was explored by someone earlier and is no longer officially considered "terra incognito". In his wanderings around the world, each traveler continues the work of his predecessors, finding and describing new details of current life that have escaped their sight, details of everyday life, observing and studying the character traits of the local population. Discovering a new land for himself, the traveler, first of all, discovers the people living on it. In 2008, the capital of our state hosted an international conference entitled “Nejmeddin Kubra and the spiritual and cultural world of the East.” Along with the Turkmen, it was attended by scientists from all over the world, studying the origins of the Turkmen culture. Sifting through the speeches of the participants when defining them by sections, our attention was drawn to the thesis of Akhtar Jamal from Pakistan. Speaking about the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people, he noted that in 1969 he was impressed by the feature film “Magtymguly” by the Turkmen film director Alty Karliev. He was literally captivated by the performers of the main characters of this film - the actor Hommat Mullik and the actress Guljan Dovletmuradova. Thanks to this film, he became interested in the life and work of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi.
