To attract foreign capital to the country’s economy, to provide state support to small and medium-sized businesses in the epoch of power and happiness, and to render financial assistance to the private sector, the President of Turkmenistan has signed a relevant Resolution. The document authorizes the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs to conclude with the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector a three-year supplemental Wakala Financial Agreement (with an annual interest rate of 4.5 percent, and a grace period of up to 6 months) to the three-year SWAP contract in order to finance SME projects, as well as to follow the proper procedures to put it into effect.

In order to further develop the partnership between Turkmenistan and the State of Qatar, expand bilateral trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian relations, the President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution approving the composition of the joint Intergovernmental Turkmen-Qatari Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation from the Turkmen side.
