The first Olympiad on plant protection among university students will be held in Turkmenistan

The Turkmen agricultural institute will hold I Internet-Olympiad on plant protection among students of higher educational institutions of Turkmenistan.

The competition is organised by the department of agrochemistry and soil science of the agricultural institute.

The Olympiad will take place on the 10th of April in the form of an individual competition. Students in their 3rd to 5th years of study are eligible to participate in the competition, regardless of their major, field of study, or university profile. No more than five students are allowed to participate from each educational institution.

Those wishing to participate in the Olympiad must send information about their team of participants and their responsible teacher to the email address of institute tohi_tm@sanly.tm by the 1st of April.

The competition will be conducted in the form of a test consisting of 50 questions. The test tasks take 90 minutes to complete.

The results of the competition will be determined by the amount of points scored by the participants and will be announced in individual and team competitions. The winners will be awarded with diplomas of the corresponding degrees.

The competition is held in order to identify and encourage talented students, stimulate youth to scientific research and creative development, evaluate the quality of specialist training, consolidate and deepen their knowledge and skills in the field of plant protection, deepen understanding of the importance of this topic, develop ecological culture among the younger generation, organise joint scientific exchanges between professors, teachers and students, as well as establishing effective cooperation between universities of the country.
