The works on construction of the mixed mineral fertilizers plant are going on in Turkmenabat. For this purpose, the specialists of the State Concern “Turkmenhimiya” together with the workers of the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Science of Turkmenistan prepared the required documentation. It provides creation in the chemical plant in Turkmensbat the mixed mineral fertilizers production enterprise with a capacity of 170 000 ton per year. Cost of the enterprise is 18 million US dollars.
In accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, financing of the construction of the mixed mineral fertilizers enterprise at the chemical plant in Turkmenabat is planned to perform out of the funds of the Aby Dhabi Fund for Development. This document was prepared in accordance with the credit agreement between the government of Turkmenistan and the Aby Dhabi Fund for Development within the framework of the working visit of the Turkmen leader to the United Arab Emirates on 9 October, 2021.
The mixed mineral fertilizers – are fertilizers containing the elements of nitrogen, phosphor, and potassium, which are the essential elements of the agricultural plants nutrition. The technology, unique in its genericity, of German company Mashinenfabric Köppern GmbH & Co.KG, will be applied in the new enterprise. Its peculiarity is that it allows to apply the dry granulation method (granulation by compaction method at the mixed mineral fertilizers production). At that, all elements of the future mineral fertilizer (nitrogen, phosphor, potassium, sulfur and other micrioelements) are milled and mixed in dry state and then pressed under high pressure. Application of such technology provides the possibility of production of the compound fertilizers, granules of which contain various ratio of nitrogen, phosphor and potassium and make it possible to select optimum composition, which will be maximum safe and effective on certain soil and for certain species of plant.
The new type of fertilizer is planned to produce based on the production of the enterprises of the State Concern “Turkmenhimiya”, theat is more economically sound, with regard to export as well. The raw for them are - urea, phosphorous fertilizers, potassium chloride, sulfur, dolomite, that are produced by the branch. Besides, the receipt can also include “gas sulfur”, formatted at the natural gas stripping на in the oil and gas enterprises.
The Satte Concern «Turkmenhimiya» ramps up production of the “fertility vitamins”. At present, the nitrogen, phosphor and potassium fertilizers are produced in its subordinate enterprises, that allows to meet needs not only of of the agrarian sector of the country, but also to export to the adjoining countries and the European state the majority of production.
