Komek Komekov, a lecturer at the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute, takes part in an educational seminar held at the National Institute of Advanced Teaching and Research in Chennai, India, from January 22 to February 18.

The seminar is organised under the Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme and is themed “Strengthening Technical and Vocational Education and Training Systems to Achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals”.

The advanced training course, which brought together 30 representatives of higher education institutions from 25 countries, is an innovative educational program aimed at strengthening the system of technical and vocational education, developing human capital, and developing modern curricula and resources.

As part of the program, lecturers and specialists from ITEC partner countries took part in an international seminar held at the Indian Institute of Technology and Science, one of the most prestigious universities in the country. During the event, the teacher from the Turkmen university made a report on the development, opportunities and initiatives being implemented in the education system of Turkmenistan. Following the seminar, K. Komekov was awarded a certificate and a gift from the rector of the Indian Institute of Technology and Science.

The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) programme, launched in 1964, is one of the leading international educational initiatives. The programme includes a wide range of activities aimed at building international human resource capacity, organising professional training for candidates from partner countries.

It should be added that the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute has been cooperating with ITEC since 2023. As part of this partnership, five institute lecturers successfully completed an advanced training course and received the relevant certificates. The program helps to improve the level of knowledge, build up valuable experience and provides ample opportunities for professional growth and development.
