The Turkmen State Publishing Service, on the recommendation of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, has published a new textbook, «Algebra and the Principles of Analysis», for the 12th grade in Russian-language comprehensive secondary schools in the country.
The textbook was developed taking into account the updated mathematics program by a group of authors - J.A. Starostina, S.E. Volkova, H. Geldiyev, A. Ovezov.
The textbook presents theoretical material in a language accessible to students, and also provides solutions to examples and problems with explanations. The textbook includes tasks for the initial level of knowledge and in-depth study of the subject, as well as for preparation for Olympiads and admission to higher educational institutions.
The new edition was prepared in accordance with international standards. It provides the following chapters in turn: I. Antiderivative and integral; II. Elements of combinatorics, probability theory and mathematical statistics; III. Complex numbers (fundamentals of higher mathematics), IV. Equations and inequalities. The last chapter assumes a review of the entire course of algebra.
The book contains material on the application of integrals and differential equations in solving physical, biological, chemical and economic problems, which ensures interdisciplinary connections.
The textbook represents the final stage of studying the school course of algebra. It will be useful for both teachers and students of regular classes and for classes with in-depth study of mathematics.
The development of education taking into account modern requirements is one of the priority tasks of the state. Large-scale activities aimed at reforming the education system, searching for new solutions, forms, teaching methods and introducing innovations, carried out within the framework of relevant documents, including the Concept for Improving Teaching Methods for General Education Programs in Turkmenistan until 2028, are aimed at solving this problem.
