The new biographical play «Köňül tary» («Strings of the Soul») will tell about the life and work of the famous Turkmen composer Nury Halmammedov.
People's Artist of Turkmenistan, laureate of the USSR State Prize, State Prize of Turkmenistan named after Magtymguly, Nury Halmamedov made a significant contribution to the development of Turkmen classical music. His invaluable musical heritage, reflecting national culture, continues to delight and inspire listeners around the world.
Theatrical figures could not ignore such a striking phenomenon on the musical Olympus. In addition, there are still people in our country who worked with Nury Halmammedov, communicated, were friends and knew him personally. One of them is Honoured Artist of Turkmenistan, director of the play «Köňül tary» Bilbil Mammedov.
The director has already had the opportunity to stage the play of the same name by Mammetgurban Mammetgurbanov and Sohbet Serbazov on the stage of the State Russian Drama Theatre named after A.S. Pushkin, where she successfully continues to go.
However, on the eve of the maestro’s anniversary, it was decided to make a new gift for connoisseurs of the Turkmen composer’s work with the team of the National Drama Theatre Alp Arslan.
Leading actors are involved in the performance. In the role of the poet Gurbannazar Ezizov - Suleyman Eminov, in the role of the singer Atageldi Garyagdyyev - Shirgeldi Saparov. The image of Nury Halmammedov on stage will be embodied by Perhat Sallandyyev.
As the director notes, the performance features famous musical works by the composer. At the same time, the new dramatization is distinguished by some stylistic devices, wise sayings and Turkmen proverbs.
The premiere performances of the play «Köňül tary» will take place on the 28th and 29th of October. As part of the festival «Mukama siňen ömür» dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the birth of Nury Halmammedov.
