Names in Turkmen Art: Yakub Annanurov

Five years ago, ahead of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence, a number of prominent figures, who had contributed greatly to strengthening our home country’s sovereignty, were posthumously decorated with the Watana Bolan Söýgüsi Üçin Medal (the Medal for the Love for the Fatherland) by a Ukase of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Among them was Magtymguly State Award recipient, People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Yakub Annanurov.

Vadim Masson: A man who opened Jeytun archaeological culture and Altyn-depe civilization

In Memory of the Mentor: A Tribute Concert to Pianist Alexander Starikov

On April 1, the Small Hall of Special Music School at the May Kulieva Turkmen National Conservatory played host to a tribute concert honoring one of the remarkable pianist, Merited Art Worker of Turkmenistan, professor at the Kazan Conservatory Alexander Anatolievich Starikov. The musician passed away in February. He would have turned 70 this December.
