Awards and Assignment of Military and Special Ranks, as well as Class Ranks in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day
The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Decree, according to which for the great personal contribution to strengthening independence and sovereignty, consolidating the defence capability, territorial integrity and constitutional system of neutral Turkmenistan, ensuring security, public order and legality, for the exemplary performance of military duties and high rate in combat training, taking into account many years of impeccable service to the sovereign Homeland, our courageous people, for conscientious and exemplary work, special services to the state and society, great successes in fruitful state and public activities, as well as in honor of Defender of the Fatherland Day, a group of military personnel and employees of the country’s military and law enforcement agencies were awarded medals of Turkmenistan.

FAO contributes to the implementation of the National Forestry Program of Turkmenistan
As part of the FAO/GEF project Integrated natural resource management in drought- and salinity-prone agricultural landscapes of Central Asia and Turkey (CACILM-2), the construction of two tree nurseries in the Kopetdag State Reserve has been completed: one in the Kopetdag mountains and the other in the oasis zone adjacent to the Garagum desert at the «Gawers» site. The project, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan, purchased all the necessary equipment and inventory for tree nurseries.

Turkmenistan takes measures to increase the volume of maritime cargo transportation
