New training module on climate change introduced in Turkmenistan

A new training module for teachers called "Introduction to the Climate Change Issues and the Practical Application of the 'Climate Box' Interactive Learning Toolkit in Educational Organizations" was presented In Turkmenistan.

Its presentation took place within the framework of the regional project of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) "Climate Education to Promote Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Action".

Participants familiarized themselves with the methodological recommendations on the use of the "Climate Box" in lessons and extracurricular educational activities, studied the regional experiences in networking and interagency collaboration on climate education issues.

The seminar was conducted by UNDP international consultants Elena Maltz and Danila Sorokin.

The project "Climate Education to Promote SDGs and Climate Action" aims to support the further implementation of climate education curricula in Eastern Europe and Central Asia region, including Turkmenistan, and to promote the "Climate Box" curriculum with the help of new innovative digital tools.
